Rethinking Phase Change Materials (PCM):
It's not a "Capsule", it's a "Pack".
In the world of smart textiles, PCM (Phase Change Materials) are often visualized as tiny, sealed balls — like microscopic capsules.
However, at IGO Textile, our approach is fundamentally different. We recently updated our technical description from "nano-scale three dimensional encapsulation" to "nano-scale 3D-Pack" .
Why the change?
The term "encapsulation" implies a physical shell or membrane. In reality, our proprietary technology doesn't rely on sealing PCM into solid capsules. Instead, we utilize a mesh-like structure that physically restricts and locks the PCM in place.
This distinction is crucial:
● No Leakage: The PCM is securely held by the network, ensuring zero leakage.
● Superior Performance: This "packing" method allows for better thermal regulation and durability compared to traditional methods.
By calling it "3D-Pack" , we are more accurately describing a technology where the material is "packed" into a stable, three-dimensional matrix. This is the core of our trade secret and the unique value we bring to thermal management.
